Put Your Live Camera on Your Website

CSLIVE gives you four ways to show your live camera outside our site. Each one is working on this page, so you can try it before you pick. Most venues with a website start with the embedded player.

MethodWhat visitors seeBest forCode on your site?
1. Embedded playerThe live video on your own pageYour websiteYes, and we need your website address
2. Pop-out linkA link that opens the video in a small windowMenus, sidebars, pages with no room for videoYes
3. Clickable pictureA “watch live” graphic that opens your camera pageEmail newsletters, site builders that strip out videoYes
4. Direct link or buttonA web address that opens your camera page“View Us on CSLIVE” buttons, social posts, texts, printNo

Start here: find your Share page

  1. Sign in at cslive.com and open your Client Dashboard.
  2. Scroll to your cameras and click ↗ Share on the camera you want to show.
  3. The Share this stream page opens with these same four methods as numbered cards, each with a Copy button.

Each camera has its own code, so repeat this for every camera you want to share. Sharing is included on the Top Shelf and Allocated plans. On other plans the Share button shows a lock and lists the plans that include it. Private or disabled cameras cannot be shared.

1

Embedded Player

Visitors press play and watch without ever leaving your website.

Try it live

LIVE · Joe's curb cam

Controls your visitors get: press play to start, then pause, sound on or off, and full screen. The line “See more live video streaming at cslive.com” is part of the player and cannot be removed.

How to add it

  1. On your Share page, scroll down to Security and access.
  2. Under Your website, enter your address, like example.com, and click Save website. Your code stays hidden until you do this.
  3. On card 1, Put the player on your website, click Copy.
  4. Paste it where the player should appear. In most site builders that is an HTML, Embed or Custom Code block.
  5. Publish your page, open it and press play.

Sample code

<iframe src="https://cslive.com/embed/YOUR-CODE"
  width="640" height="360"
  style="border:0;max-width:100%;"
  allow="autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture"
  allowfullscreen loading="lazy"
  title="Your Venue - Your Camera live stream"></iframe>

Your Share page gives you this code with your camera already filled in. To resize, change width and height, keeping the same shape. The smallest size that plays is 240 x 135. The player only runs on the website you saved, so nobody can copy it to their own site. Moving to a new address? Update Your website first.

2

Pop-Out Link

A simple link that opens the video in its own small window, for pages where a player would be in the way.

  2. Click Try it to see what your visitors will get.

  onclick="window.open(this.href,'csmLivePlayer','width=760,height=460,resizable=yes');return false;">Watch Your Venue - Your Camera live</a>

About the examples on this page

Eat at Joe's is a made-up restaurant, and these examples run on our test system with a test camera, so they can be offline at times. Before you press play, the player shows the test venue's name. On your site it shows your venue's name.
